WHAT IS SUMMER FUN?
SUMMER FUN is full day care in a camp like setting for children completing kindergarten to fifth grade during their summer vacation. Children participate in a variety of activities planned around weekly themes. Activities include enrichment opportunities, arts and crafts, clubs, science, cooking, music, field trips and swimming. There is also time for children to relax and hang out with their friends indoors and outdoors. Activities include group and individual opportunities. See Register Summer Fun for current details.

WHEN DOES IT OPERATE?
Summer Fun operates during the Mt. Lebanon School District summer vacation. Typically beginning the third working day after the last day of school in June until three working days before school begins. The program is open from 7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Summer Fun centers are closed for the July 4th holiday.

WHERE IS IT LOCATED?
The Summer Fun center location may vary from summer to summer however it will be located in Mt. Lebanon and licensed by DPW. See Register Summer Fun for current details.

HOW ARE CHILDREN GROUPED?
Children are enrolled and grouped by their age. Typically there are 4-5 groups set up with children of similar ages.

WHAT ABOUT SNACKS AND LUNCHES?
Children are served a morning and afternoon snack each day. Parents/guardians are provided with a weekly menu that lists the daily snacks. Children bring their lunches from home.

IS TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE?
No. If your child will be attending any activities away from the Summer Fun site, you will need to make your own transportation arrangements. The adult responsible for picking up and/or bringing back your child to Summer Fun must sign the attendance roster.

WHEN DO THEY SWIM?
All children enrolled in the Summer Fun Program swim on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at the Mt. Lebanon Community Pool, weather permitting. Fees for swimming are an additional cost.

WHEN ARE FIELD TRIPS?
Field trips are planned for one of the non-swim days, Tuesday or Friday. Some field trips are planned for the entire program while others are age specific. Children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational and recreational field trips in and around the Mt. Lebanon and greater Pittsburgh area. For most field trips, admissions and bus transportation are provided at no extra cost.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR SUMMER FUN?
To register for the Summer Fun Program, go to Register on this website for all Registration forms. Send these forms to the office along with your registration fee. This initiates the registration process. We have created Editable PDF forms that are easy to fill out. After you have downloaded the forms to your computer, using Adobe Reader, you can TAB through the form and type in your answers. All you have to do is print the forms when completed. It's that easy!
